We strive to provide an exceptional service for our clients, which means providing an exceptional service to every single editor, author and reviewer whom we work with on a daily basis. Client satisfaction is at the heart of what we do.
We currently work for around 20 clients (publishers, institutions and societies, both large and small) on approximately 200 journals and projects. In addition to our core portfolio, we regularly undertake short- and longer-term cover for holidays, emergencies, extended periods of leave, and whilst clients are recruiting for new or replacement in-house staff.
With all work that we undertake, we ensure an in-depth understanding of each journal or project’s detailed requirements, protocols and instructions. We take pride in our work and will suggest to clients any developments or efficiencies which we think could optimise both processing times and user experience.

“…has provided excellent support for running our journal and has made my job so much easier.” – International Journal of Public Opinion Research
“I have worked with Sarah, from The Editorial Hub Ltd, for around four years now. Sarah has provided excellent support for running our journal and has made my job so much easier. I am very grateful for her immaculate work. She is diligent, thoughtful, and knows her responsibilities very well. Sarah is also prompt in her responses, which keeps everything moving on time. My experience with Sarah has been nothing but positive. I recommend both her and The Editorial Hub Ltd enthusiastically.”

“…we have been delighted with our collaboration.” – International Journal of Transitional Justice
“Although initially a bit sceptical about moving to an editorial assistant assigned through The Editorial Hub Ltd given that we had been accustomed to working with our own editorial assistants, we have been delighted with our collaboration. Davina’s experiences with OUP’s systems – and knowledge about whom to contact when there are questions beyond our OUP-expertise – have been invaluable. Importantly, she knows when she knows and has an impressive professional humility to consult when the issue is outside of her scope of knowledge. Her learning curve has been impressive as is her patience with all of us on the editorial team in the midst of the multiple challenges of COVID 19 and others that accompany our Special Issue processes wherein we often collaborate with experts in their fields but who are sometimes new to the editorial process and based in multiple time zones. We look forward to our ongoing collaboration.”

“… professional, accurate, responsive and most of all very friendly and reliable.” – Forestry
“My experience with working with Sarah, from The Editorial Hub Ltd, has been nothing but positive. Throughout our time of collaboration Sarah has been professional, accurate, responsive and most of all very friendly and reliable. We could not wish for a better person for this job.”
“…we are delighted with the high-quality work and service they provide.” – Wolters Kluwer Health
“The Editorial Hub Ltd has been providing an editorial office for us for over a year and we are delighted with the high-quality work and service they provide. Our Managing Editor, Lizzy, is a great asset to the journal, dealing with a high number of submissions, working with some non-standard workflows, and providing an excellent point of contact for our editors, authors, peer-reviewers and publishing teams. The Editorial Hub Ltd has ensured the smooth and effective running of our editorial office and we recommend them wholeheartedly.”

“… the glue that holds the journal together.” – Social Politics
“I have worked with Penny from The Editorial Hub Ltd for the past year, since I joined the editorial team of Social Politics. Penny’s patience and willingness to shepherd me through the journal’s system made me more capable and efficient from the start of my term. She is thoroughly on the ball, aware of the details of all submissions and somehow able to communicate with unflappable calm to authors, reviewers and editors. Her attention to detail has pre-empted potentially troubling situations. In many respects, she is the glue that holds the journal together.”

“… highly professional, knowledgeable, but also extremely approachable and flexible.” – Social Policy and Society
“Soon after starting our editorship of Social Policy and Society, Colleen, from The Editorial Hub Ltd, was assigned to us as an editorial officer. She was able to get on top of the job immediately. Being highly professional, knowledgeable, but also extremely approachable and flexible, she has quickly become an invaluable member of the team. Ours is a growing and complex journal, with some unique elements and involving several different stakeholders. Having Colleen’s consistent support has made this into a much easier ride, allowing us to pursue our editorial objectives. She has been helping us with every aspect of the editing and managing of the journal, from the more technical bits to the sometimes complex communications with authors and guest editors. She has also been giving us precious advice on how to organise our workflow – including being always there for the odd reminder when needed. Her ability to balance an excellent grasp of the wider picture with an eye for the detail is something we’ve been particularly impressed with. We’ve been thoroughly enjoying working with Colleen and on the basis of this experience we would highly recommend The Editorial Hub Ltd.”

“… most impressed with the quality of the help their staff give.” – Epidemiology and Infection
“I have been working with The Editorial Hub Ltd for some years now, and am most impressed with the quality of the help their staff give. Nothing I ask is too much of them, and they do show initiative when necessary. We had an excessive number of papers during the earlier months of the Covid epidemic which required a lot of extra work, all of which was dealt with most efficiently. Mutual friendliness and humour are necessary in a good working relationship, and there has been an abundance of that between me and my colleagues in The Editorial Hub Ltd. Clearly, I am more than impressed!”

“… efficient, cooperative, and great to work with.” – MIND
“We have been co-editing the philosophy journal MIND since January 2016. Throughout that time, there has been at least one member of The Editorial Hub Ltd acting as our Managing Editor. Recently, two members of The Editorial Hub Ltd have been acting together in that capacity, one assisting with the day-to-day running of the journal and managing the peer-review process on ScholarOne, the other overseeing the journal’s finances and helping with some of the larger questions of management policy that arise from time to time. They have been efficient, cooperative, and great to work with. In particular, they have been scrupulous about ensuring that they do not bother us about routine matters that can be dealt with in a standard way whereas they do always consult us about matters that require our input. We have been delighted with the support that we have received.”
“… completely satisfied with the quality of their work and with their timeliness and attentiveness to our requests.” – ICES Journal of Marine Science
“The ICES JMS has been using The Editorial Hub Ltd to manage the journal’s virtual editorial office since January 2016. In addition to handling day-to-day manuscript flow, they also prepare thorough editorial office reports. We have been completely satisfied with the quality of their work and with their timeliness and attentiveness to our requests. They are always on top of things and keep the Journal running smoothly and efficiently. I have had exclusively positive feedback from our editorial board of 57 subject editors with respect to their interactions with the virtual editorial office managed by The Editorial Hub Ltd. We have been entirely satisfied with whoever on The Editorial Hub Ltd team we have interacted with. In short, we recommend The Editorial Hub Ltd without reservation.”

“The team’s knowledge of ScholarOne Manuscripts is incredibly comprehensive.” – Cambridge University Press
“We currently use the services of The Editorial Hub Ltd for a number of our titles and we have been greatly impressed by the quality of their work. The team’s knowledge of ScholarOne Manuscripts is incredibly comprehensive, as evidenced by their proficiency in running reports and training Editorial Board Members in the use of the system. The Editorial Hub Ltd has been quick to win the confidence of our Editors and we have no reservations in recommending their services.
“The Editorial Hub Ltd’s knowledge of ScholarOne and Editorial Manager makes them super-users, an indispensable skill providing efficient service, pro-actively streamlining and working collaboratively and in communication with our in-house Editors and Publishers.
“The Editorial Hub Ltd are extremely responsive even where urgency arises, adapting to immediate needs quickly, efficiently and with trust and accuracy. They are able to provide high-quality service for a high of number of journals, some with high submissions and quick turnarounds.
“I cannot recommend them enough for the service they provide: encyclopaedic and efficient!”

“I only have positive things to say about The Editorial Hub Ltd.” – The Marine Biological Association
“The Journal of the Marine Biological Association (JMBA), first published in 1887, is one of the world’s longest-running marine biological journals. We decided to move from using an in-house Executive Editor to ‘out-sourcing’ the editorial processing work. We were recommended The Editorial Hub Ltd (TEH) by our publisher, CUP.
“I have to say that I only have positive things to say about TEH. Liaising with TEH to establish what needed doing was easy and TEH were also able to suggest improvements in our manuscript processing. The Editor-in-Chief has been delighted with the improvement in our processing times (which improved significantly as well), with the professionalism of TEH staff, who are friendly and helpful and quick to chase up issues, such as when manuscripts get ‘stuck’. They also liaise very efficiently with myself, the Editor-in-Chief and our Journals Management Board to ensure our manuscript processing is optimised.
“The MBA Board of Trustees have been particularly pleased as we are now paying less than when we did all the work in-house, but we are getting far more efficiency, which is good for the journal as well as for us as an organisation. My only real regret is that we did not discover TEH sooner!”

“… an experienced, diligent resource integrating seamlessly with our wider team…” – Radcliffe Group
“We have worked with Naomi and The Editorial Hub Ltd team for 3 years and have found the experience overwhelmingly positive. As a smaller, niche publisher we rely heavily on freelancers to support our Managing Editors and Nikki from The Editorial Hub Ltd has proved an experienced, diligent resource integrating seamlessly with our wider team and even helping to drive our editorial standards upwards, and conversely our review times downwards. We look forward to continuing our work together.”

“… excellent and very efficient support in running our journal.” – Yearbook of European Law
“I have worked with Nicola, from The Editorial Hub Ltd, for a number of years and she has provided excellent and very efficient support in running our journal. She has proved to be an invaluable asset when dealing with multiple submissions and communications with authors and reviewers and in navigating the use of Editorial Manager. I am immensely grateful to her for the support that she has given the Editorial Board and my experience has been entirely positive. I recommend the services of The Editorial Hub Ltd unreservedly.”

The Editorial Hub Ltd has provided an extremely high level of service for a number of CSIRO Publishing journals. The ease with which the team commenced work on the journals was impressive and a clear display of their experience in working with ScholarOne. The team demonstrated high levels of efficiency and responsiveness resulting in consistently positive feedback from our editorial boards. We would highly recommend their services and thank Steph, Naomi and their team for their flexibility and professionalism.”

“… always professional and friendly, as well as highly efficient.” – BDS Publishing
“The Editorial Hub Ltd team did an excellent job of managing our multi-contributor book program in ScholarOne. They are always professional and friendly, as well as highly efficient. As a start-up publisher, not only was it comforting to know that this part of the editorial workflow was in safe hands but it allowed us to concentrate our limited resources on growing and managing other parts of the business. I would highly recommend their services.”
